What a perfect backdrop for a love story that has a scent of mystery. The author pulls it off with her handsome but grounded lead character, a curator in charge of a museum in Boracay. There he meets a girl whose background is shrouded with secrecy.

     The book's strength lies in its down to earth narrative, a reflection of Gio, the main character in whose eyes the story is revealed. It's a fun read and gives a deeper dimension to a place we only know as a stopover, a respite for weary souls.
